This is a difficult time and unprecedented for most of us in our lifetimes. Fairfax County has made the decision to go with safety first and not allow any community use for school gyms for the fall season. This means that the boys leagues (ES, MS & HS) will not be able to run this fall. While we are disappointed in the fact that we cannot run these sports we also believe the decision made is best for the overall health and safety of our communities at this time.
We encourage everyone to continue to exercise outdoors following CDC guidelines. Peppering with your son is a great way to stay active and maybe you will find you enjoy it as well! If you have a net outdoor doubles is an activity that can keep you fairly far apart from others while still getting your physical activity in.
We will look in the spring to see if it possible to run some version of the leagues. This is the path being taken by many other sports at the high school and college level. In the mean time stay safe and healthy!
